Falkirk Company of Archers partner with MRM archery to arrange beginners training courses. MRM archery will give you in depth instruction and coaching during your course, covering the basic techniques of archery, including safety, to ensure that you gain the maximum enjoyment from the very start. All equipment is provided, so you won't need to supply anything.
Children over the age of 12 can take part.
Please visit the MRM archery website to find out about courses.
At the end of your beginner's course you can apply to join the club, and affiliate to the SAA and GNAS (this covers you for insurance purposes and allows you to take part in competitions and further training courses). Membership is dependent on the number of applicants and available places.
After joining the club your coaching continues. You would then have further concentrated coaching for about 4 weeks . As you progress the type of coaching changes and becomes more specialised. We always have a coach on duty every shooting night.
The club has equipment you can use until you are ready to buy your own. It is recommended that you do not buy any equipment until you have sought the advice of the club coach or an experienced club member.
